Key Duties:

  • Flight Watch of all Airwork Flight Operations in New Zealand and overseas
  • Flight Planning
  • Provision of Operations Support including Flight Plans, Weather and Notam Briefings
  • Flight Scheduling and Disrupt Management
  • Flight Crew Scheduling and Rostering and day of operations crew management
  • Providing timely flight operations information, including liaising with our customers and Maintenance
  • Coordinate Ground Handling and Support arrangements for adhoc Flight Operations
  • Coordinating with the relevant authorities for operating approvals into other countries and obtaining over-flight clearances and slots.

An opportunity exists for a suitably experienced applicant to join the Operations Control team as a Operations Controller. Reporting to the OCC Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the Daily Running of the Operational Network, Customer Liaison, and Crew Management, providing Operations Support to Customers and Crews in both New Zealand and Australia or any other such location worldwide that is required

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following:

  1. Knowledge of aviation and flight operations, navigation, flight planning and aircraft take-off/landing performance
  2. Excellent time management skills
  3. Ability to work under pressure
  4. Ability to work in a team environment
  5. Fluent in English (written and spoken) to a high standard
  6. Intermediate computer skills
  7. Good problem-solving skills
  8. Critical decision making

You must:  

· Previous aviation flight planning experience

  • Have sound decision making skills
  • Have crew rostering experience
  • A Passion for aviation
  • A Knowledge of aviation law and regulations
